Print sizes & cropping

Available from A4 to A1 and in uncropped photographic formats from 12 × 18in to 24 × 36in. ISO formats may crop the natural 2:3 image ratio at larger sizes; choose an inches size when you prefer the complete composition.

Paper & archival quality

Treat your walls with a sublime photo fine art print and invite a little bit of Burren into your home!

  • Printed sizes: ISO A4 to A1 (*), 12x18in to 24x36in. Prices vary on sizes
  • White margin for a fine art look
  • Printed on a thick, matt exhibition standard quality paper (usually, Hahnemühle Photo Rag® 308gsm or Canson Infinity Arches BFK Rives Pure White 310gsm).

(*) as the natural image ratio is 2x3, an A (ISO) format print will crop the image from A3 onwards. If you wish to order an uncropped image beyond A4 please use the inches sizes instead: 12x18 in to 32 x 48 in.

Hahnemühle Photo Rag® 308gsm paper remains the industry benchmark for fine art photographic prints. A white, premium matt 100% cotton paper with a smooth surface texture, guaranteeing archival standards with its unparalleled density, colour gamut, colour graduation and image sharpness. If the image suits I may also use the Canson Arches BFK Rives Pure White to bring out the whites and increase contrast with this fabulous, slightly textured matt gallery paper. On printing: papers I use.

Every single print is professionally processed with the best attention to detail and inspected prior to shipping, either flat (for small prints) or in a roll.

NB: The image you see here is only 70 dpi. Your print will use a 300 dpi high resolution image!

Shipping, presentation & care

Every print is carefully processed and inspected before shipping, then dispatched flat or rolled according to its size.

Field notesRead field notes
It's always hard to get a shot right in the woodlands. What you see with your own, fabulous eyes is often not what you get through a camera lens limited in dynamic range, and depth of field. Add all the typical clutter and ivy one can find in an Irish wood and you can appreciate the challenge. Still, that should not stop anyone from trying. The middle to the end of April is a great time to get busy in Coole Park as wild flowers are out!

To scale and add depth to your image, nothing beats shadow from a sun rising behind, or mist. The latter is harder to get in a lush, thriving woodland in spring, but you should always keep an eye on forecast as it can still develop and shroud the woods for a wee while!
