As Lough Bunny prepares for the end of Summer, I find my way to some of the not so known spots around the lake for a nice, uninterrupted evening photo shoot. The COVID restrictions allowed me to reach as far, and I did a lot of scouting back then! It was an eerily quiet, almost exclusive place at the time. Those days are long gone and throughout summer the local folks flock to the lake on sunny evenings, it would be hard to find a quiet spot without being too familiar.

I would usually look for nice long grass, a small shrub, or a even few stones to fill in the foreground. The ultra wide lens is ideal here to fill in as much of the frame with water as possible, although a simple wide angle does the trick. Look for an interesting sky around sunset from spring to mid summer as beyond that, the sun sets too far back in the south west.
