I haven't completed the Lough Avalla farm loop yet but have been told it's one of those Burren walks not to miss. In fairness I tried it with my kids a while back and the sight of all this rock put them off (or was it just the idea of walking?). Nonetheless we walked far enough to spot those trees on the side of the path and I knew I would have to come back when conditions were right.
